A grand tourer for island visits, a luxury SUV for longer stays or a car you have wanted for years: the right enquiry begins with a clear brief. Tell Edison which features matter, whether you would consider a pre-owned vehicle, and how flexible you are on colour, year and specification.
Discuss your budget as a complete ownership budget. A vehicle price can exclude registration, insurance, taxes, delivery and future storage. Ask for each included and excluded item to be written down, along with the quotation’s validity and any conditions attached to a deposit.
You can enquire about your preferred luxury marque without assuming a particular model is in stock. Availability, condition, warranty and sourcing arrangements must be confirmed for the actual vehicle.

Understand the 2026 tax position first.
Luxury and supercar purchases in Langkawi require a vehicle-specific duties and tax assessment. The 2026 import-duty amendment and related excise/sales-tax orders apply a RM300,000 threshold using specified valuation rules. Imported CIF value and a retail asking price are different concepts.
Before agreeing a purchase, request a documented explanation for the particular vehicle: import or manufacturing route, valuation basis, applicable duties and taxes, and intended registration/use. If you mainly need the vehicle on the mainland, say so at the start. Temporary trips and permanent mainland import are separate arrangements. A Langkawi storage plan should fit the way you actually want to drive.

Identify the actual car.
Confirm model year, specification, chassis details where available, ownership documents and whether the quotation concerns a specific vehicle or a sourcing enquiry.
Agree the checks before commitment.
Ask about inspection, service history, condition, known faults, warranty terms and who is responsible for verifying each item. Any inspection or remedial work should be agreed in writing.
Separate the costs.
Vehicle price, taxes, registration, insurance, delivery and ongoing care should be distinguishable. Compare quotations on the same basis using our ownership cost checklist.
Plan where the car goes next.
Discuss storage in Langkawi or collection, and any mainland transport requirements, before setting a handover date.

For overseas buyers or unusual ownership structures, registration, insurance and import eligibility need individual confirmation. An enquiry is the first step; it is not an approval of eligibility, finance or stock availability.

What duties and taxes apply to a luxury car?
Covered vehicles above RM300,000 on the prescribed valuation basis are subject to applicable duties and taxes under the rules effective 1 January 2026. A marque or retail advertisement does not determine the assessment. Confirm the vehicle’s import history, classification and payable amounts with Customs.
Can purchase and storage be discussed together?
Yes. Include your anticipated storage dates, care requirements and collection plans in the purchase enquiry. Confirm the agreed scope and prices in writing.
Do you list current inventory online?
This site invites purchase enquiries. Displayed marques, images and 3D models are illustrative and are not a live inventory feed. Contact Edison to discuss actual availability.
